GALE- We specifically recommend the following databases within GALE:
Britannica School- The encyclopedic format lays out a lot of pertinent information, and you can double click on any word you encounter to translate it into spanish. To access, go to GALE, select the Britannica School icon, then select high school. From there you can search for your country.
Global Issues- This database will highlight current political concerns and general issues the countries are facing.
Facts on File- The username/password are hingham/hingham. We recommend using the World Geography & Culture database. You search for your country at the top and the resulting entry includes regional and thematic maps, cultural information broken out by topic (such as sports, cuisine, holidays), climate information, and more.

CIA World Factbook- This website provides basic information on the history, people, government, economy, energy, geography, environment, communications, transportation, military, terrorism, and transnational issues of 266 world entities.
ThoughtCo- Find articles, fast facts, flags, and other information on the culture, geography, and history of every country on earth.
PBS Learning Media- This is a collection of videos in Spanish about various cultural topics in spanish speaking countries. The search bar at the top can also be used to find general videos on a variety of topics related to your country.
National Geographic- Learn about the natural resources and animals present in a variety of countries. Use the magnifying glass at the top of the page to search for articles related to your country.
Commisceo Global- A website that specializes in cross-cultural training, these country guides are free to explore and include summaries on a variety of countries throughout the world.
World Culture Encyclopedia- View their country culture profiles to get a glimpse of the location, demographics, history of ethnic relations, political life, gender roles, and more.

Food Network- This national magazine features recipes from around the world, including:
Amnesty International- View research and campaigns being run across the world by Amnesty International, an organization focused on human rights. It includes the latest news, blogs, and reports.
